As non-conformists we don't always follow 'the church calendar' and without a building, organising a Maundy Thursday communion or a special Good Friday service becomes overly complicated. So why not share your personal devotions and reflections here, as we journey together through the events of that 'last week'.

I'm choosing to read from Mark's Gospel this week, starting from chapter 11. In 1995, during one the more difficult times in my ministry, I felt Jesus lead me to read for a season the Gospels,... over and over again. I continued in this discipline for about 18 months, reading through Luke, Mark, Matthew and John (I'm not sure why I chose that ordering). To be soaked daily in the life and words of Jesus left an impression on my life with God that I still draw on to this day. So as I walk again with my Lord, through these final chapters of Mark's Gospel, it is with a sense of awe and 'fearful' expectation that I begin this journey ... What fresh insights will I see? What revelation will come? What reminders? What challenges? What friendships will be re-newed, as I visit the ancient city, the Temple courtyard, that ‘room’ again, that garden, that night of testing ...?
